Handsome- S/T (1997)

Handsome was a "supergroup" containing former Helmet guitarist Peter Mengede, ex-Quicksand guitarist Tom Capone, Cro-mags drummer Pete Hines, bassist Eddie Nappi and vocalist Jeremy Chatelain, who also played bass in Jets To Brazil. Handsome only released one album, appropriately entitled 'Handsome' and produced in Seattle by Terry Date, in 1997 and toured extensively in support of the eponymous record. The band split in 1998 and were entirely too short-lived to gain the attention they deserved. If you aren't aware of this band, or maybe you just like any of the previously mentioned bands and wish to extend your knowledge on another side-project that has been severely overlooked, or even if you just want to hear a brilliant and well-written and well-produced 90's alt rock record, please do yourself the biggest favor you could possibly do for yourself today. This album will have you feeling good in no time, whether you're an old or newfound fan of the band.
