Grandchildren- Everlasting (2010)

If you haven't heard them yet, this is the best Philly band you never knew about until now.
Got to see them open for Wild Nothing tonight and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Very reminiscent of the late 90's/early 2000's-era Polyvinyl Records sound, lots of percussion and keys, electronic stuff scattered about, some horns, but it works. It comes together and is catchier than most of these types of bands that usually aren't as together and wind up just sounding like chaos. This band was a welcomed and unanticipated surprise and I'm looking forward to following them closely and catch them live again in the area ASAP.
