Fusion Beauty Top Picks Sephora Beauty Insider 500 Point Gift
Sephora's Beauty Insider program is pretty cool. For every dollar you spend, you earn points that you can redeem for deluxe samples or save up for a bigger gift. It's a really nice perk that most places don't offer and it's one of the reasons I usually choose Sephora for my makeup-shopping needs. I figure, why buy something at a place that doesn't reward me to shop there when I can get the same thing at Sephora where it will come with samples, free shipping and other nice bonuses?
Anyway, one of the current 500 point gifts finally seemed like something I wanted, so I snagged it on my last order. It is a set of some of Fusion Beauty's top products.
It has a LipFusion InFATuation (ha, ha) in In The Flesh, IllumiFill Line-Filling Luminizer with AmpliFat (man that sounds gross), a Lash Fusion XL Micro-Technology Instant Lash Volumizer in Black (look at all that sciencey-sounding BS!), a Lip Fusion XL and a LipFusion Color Shine in Crave.
This set isn't exclusive to Sephora, it can be purchased from Ulta or Beauty.com for around $30.
I've long been a fan of LipFusion and LipFusion XL. They're the only lip plumpers I've used that actually provide results for me. They're freakin' expensive, but hey, they actually do make a difference for me so I find them to be worth it. Especially when I was looking at some photos a while back- I could really see the difference from when I was using it regularly and when I stopped using it.
Anyway, the LipFusion XL is clear so there's not really a point in swatching it, I haven't used the mascara yet and I don't have any lines to fill, so I only swatched the two colored glosses:
In The Flesh on the left (this is the InFATuation one), Crave on the right (LipFusion Color Shine). In The Flesh is a pink based nude which is much more flattering me than the brown based nude from the Objects of Desire kit (which I will review shortly). Crave is a warm peachy-pink and gold duochrome shimmer that's absolutely gorgeous. I've owned this shade before and it's one of the most flattering shades on almost any skintone. It's fairly subtle but interesting enough to keep me happy.
Different angles and lighting to show the color shift and sparkles in Crave. It's sheer, so it isn't too flashy, but it's still really cool.
There are some differences in formula between the original LipFusion, the XL and the InFATuation.

I know, it all sounds a little... eh.... questionable.
The differences I notice? The original LipFusion has a nice light citrus scent and flavor, is a bit sticky and makes my lips numb for a while. The XL has a sweet but very strong mint flavor, is clear, thin and non sticky and gives me slightly less numbness than the original. The InFATuation is thick and sticky, has a cooling-tingle effect (like a Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips) but no numbness and doesn't seem to give me any plumping results.
It's nice that the Infatuation formula comes in full-coverage opaque shades. The Color Shines are all sheer, but the Infatuations are very pigmented.
